Mark your calendar especially date 23rd of May, Yes finally wait is over and election commission has now raised the curtains and announced dates for general election 2019 India. As our leaders say, festival of democracy is here so let us get ready to celebrate it. Assembly election for Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha & Sikkim 2019 will also be held simultaneously. Code of Conduct is applicable from today, other Important things which election commission shared in their press conference were

1. Total 17.4 lakh VVPATs will be used with EVMs at all polling stations.
2. Approximately 10 lakh polling stations in 2019, compared to 9 lakh in 2014.
3. CEC Sunil Arora said that the total voters will be approximately 900 million or 90 crore of which 15 million or 1.5 crore are in the age group of 18-19 years.

Elections are to be held in 7 Phases for total 543 Loksabha seats , starting from 11th April till 19th May 2019 and counting will be done on 23rd of May. Let us now see the dates announced by election Commission.

1.  Phase 1 –  11th April 2019 , Total 91 seats of 20 states,
2.  Phase 2 – 18th April 2019, Total 97 seats of 13 states,
3.  Phase 3 – 23rd April 2019, Total 115 seats of 14 states,
4.  Phase 4 – 29th April 2019, Total 71 seats of 09 states,
5.  Phase 5 – 06th May 2019 , Total 51 seats of 07 states,
6.  Phase 6 – 12th May 2019, Total 59 seats of 07 states,
7. Phase 7 – 19th May 2019, Total 59 seats of 08 states.

Phase 1 = 11th April 2019, For 91 Loksabha seats

Phase 2 = 18th April 2019, For 97 Loksabha seats

Phase 3 = 18th April 2019,  For 115 Loksabha seats ( Total 116, 1 Anglo-Indian )

Phase 4 = 29th April 2019 , For 71 Loksabha Seats ( Total 72 seats , 1 Anglo-Indian )

Phase 5 = 6th May 2019, For 51 Loksabha Seats

Phase 6 = 12th May 2019, For 59 Loksabha Seats

Phase 7 = 19th May 2019, For 59 Loksabha Seats
