Tamil Nadu State Board has cancelled the examination for Class 10th and 11th Examination which was earlier postponed due to COVID-19. State Chief Minister Mr. Palaniswami announced that students would be promoted to next class.
The exam was supposed to be conducted from 27th March 2020 and 26th March 2020 respectively but later postponed to 1st June but not cancelled.
More than 9 lakhs students were waiting for the announcement. Madras High court had given ultimatum to the state government to take a decision on the exams. After evaluating the COVID situation , government announced the cancellation the exams.

KA Sengottaiyan, school education minister of Tamil Nadu state announced the exam dates earlier . Tamil Nadu Class 10th examination will be held form 1st June to 12th June and class 11th examination will be held from June 2.
Apart from this Re-Exams for Class 12th will be conducted on 4th June , earlier it was earlier supposed to be held on 24th March. Around 36000 students will appear in class 12th re-exams.

3rd June – English
5th June – Mathematics
6th June – Optional language
8th June – Science
10th June – Social Science
12th June – Vocational subjects
