Coronavirus cases in India rise to around 6,720 and total deaths to 225.

More that 94,000 people have died due to COVID-19 across the globe while the number of confirmed cases is said to be more than 1,584,985 worldwide.

As per the current statistics US has the most confirmed cases i.e. 4,64,865 out of which 16,498 have died as of now.

In India, the state that has been affected the most by COVID-19 is Maharashtra with 946 confirmed cases and 72 deaths till date.

Delhi has 639 confirmed cases out of which there are 9 deaths. 51 new COVID-19 cases were reported positive yesterday i.e. 9th April 2020.

As per the latest update Odisha becomes the first state to extend lockdown till 30th April 2020.

CM Naveen Patnaik has requested the Centre not to release the air and train services until 30th April 2020.
